Traxxas QR-1 is the Hubsan X4

Many hobbyist on the forums have been enjoying the Hubsan X4 micro quadcopter. Now that Traxxas is bringing that quad to the US market under then guise of the QR-1, many more people will get to enjoy this tiny little quad copter.

We all have seen photos of how small the X4 is, but check out the X4 spare replacement canopy/fuselage on top of a business card. ($4.99 on BangGood or just $6.00 from a US source: MassiveRC)

It weighs 8.23g and is a direct fit on the Traxxas QR-1 for those of you who like the black/white look of the X4 fuselage.

      That’s great NeoBot. We’re all hoping you can share details on what you did. Did you simply wire up the X4 TX to the T9x pots? I know. I violated your one rule. No Questions. :P

        that was inspired by the pick of the bare frame with the brown credit card under it? posted here? i thought to myself it would actually be cool if hackmods could of had a quad small enough to ACTUALLY sit on that credit card?

        guess what i did :D then once you guess that you can watch the video and see that not only does it sit on a credit card but it also carries a full fpv setup too ;)

      On other flight boards, I found that if the Crystal is damage…it will prevent binding. I forget what the crystal looks like on the Hubsan… But on other boards, it’s a cylinder. So easier to replace. You may just need a new flight controller board. Probably the easiest method to get flying again.

      It’s also a great idea to double check that the X4 is fully charged, replace the transmitter’s battery with a fresh set, and verify that none of the transmitter’s buttons got stuck. If all else fails just apply for a refund if it’s still under warranty.
